Feedback such as yours enable us to target areas of improvement. we are disappointed to learn whenever a customer has found some aspect of their rental experience less than satisfactory. In regards to the aforementioned BBB Complaint ID: ******** & Case: ********Īt Avis Budget Car Rental Group Inc. He lied about what I was signing and what I was being charged for and thus, this needs to be addressed. I feel that I was lied to, multiple times, not only by the person at the check-in counter,but also the customer service people. I called back on june 2nd, they told me my case still open until June 5th. They told me they will contact me within 3-5 business day. ![]() I called the customer service right away. The people who works at counter told me they can’t do anything. So, I reached out to Budget counter for assistance. The invoice showed the total charge of $1289.2 with no refund. At the counter I found out the total bill was $1289.2. So he told me to go to the rental counter. “I told him I wanted to paid with another credit card. I parked the vehicle in the parking lot ,give back the key of budget employee, and he check everything and said “everything is okay and return is done. He provided the keys, and left the counter. Signature and said I was signing the contract for the rental. “He then said that I would need to swipe my credit card for a security deposit that would be refunded when I returned the vehicle. He then asked me about insurance, saying "do you want the additional insurance or just the basic?" I replied "nothing additional please." “I already have my own insurance covered. I repeated multiple times that I wanted nothing additional to what I had already paid for. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle on May 8th,the person working the counter began asking me about add-ons. I paid $576.53 at the time of reservation which was the full rental fee for use of the vehicle from 05/08-05/24. I reserved a rental car at Budget via Priceline. I will NEVER use this company again and I want it in writing that they will never charge me again. This is absolutely unacceptable from a company and I am disgusted. Even though my credit card company had a block against Budget, they used a different merchant number to go around this and still charge my card. ![]() Then, last month (May of 2023)-EIGHT months after renting the car-I get yet another bill in the mail from Budget. My complaint was accepted and Budget left me alone for a while. In October of 2022, I filed a complaint with the BBB so Budget would stop charging me for something that was not my fault (THEY gave me a faulty car). I then had to block Budget from charging my credit card. I left voicemails and never received phone calls back to discuss the issue. Whenever I tried to contact a supervisor or manager at Budget, my phone calls were avoided. Then for something else that I can't even remember. Shortly after returning home, I started receiving bills from Budget. ![]() I was ENSURED that I would not be responsible for the damage because I did not do anything. Then, I had to wait over 5 hours for Budget to send a tow truck to tow me back to ORD and get me a new car. Then, the second day I had the car, while I was in the middle of an intersection, the back windshield exploded. I was given a downgraded car because they did not have a car available for me. In September of 2022 I rented a car from Budget at ORD. ![]()
